‘Baithaki 2026’ Classical Music Event Enthralls Audience at Prabhakar CSA School, Chheharta

Baithaki 2026 Classical Music Event Held in Amritsar

A grand Indian classical music programme titled “Baithaki 2026” was successfully organized at Prabhakar C.S.A. School in Chheharta in collaboration with SwarAnjali Delhi, celebrating the richness of traditional Indian music.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a cultural presentation by Class 9 students, setting a devotional and artistic tone for the evening.

Renowned artist Subrat Dey presented a classical bandish in Raag Bhairav, “Tum Jaago Mohan Pyare,” which received warm appreciation from the audience. On the sitar, he performed Raag Basant Mukhari, beginning with a vilambit Teentaal composition, followed by a medium-tempo nine-matra bandish and concluding with an engaging drut Teentaal performance.

Pandit Siddharth Chatterjee provided outstanding tabla accompaniment, enhancing the depth and rhythm of the presentation.

In the second performance, PTI Deepin Raj delivered a classical vocal recital in Raag Yaman. His soulful rendition of the slow composition “Salona Re Mora Saiyan” captivated listeners, followed by the fast-paced composition “Mohe Jamuna Jal Bharna Jaane De,” which drew enthusiastic applause. The performance featured tabla accompaniment by Pandit Siddharth Chatterjee and sarangi support by Sukhwinder Singh.

The programme was hosted by Dr. Priyanka Chatterjee. Municipal Corporation Assistant Commissioner Vishal Wadhawan attended the event as the chief guest.

Several distinguished personalities, including social worker Satish Ballu, Principal Mukesh Puri, school director Rajesh Prabhakar, Hindu College Principal Rakesh Sharma, Inder Mohan Bakshi, Janak Joshi, Varinderjeet Singh Mann, Harpreet Singh, Vijay from Hindu College, Neeru Bhatia, Principal Ranchan Singh, Rachninder Singh Mann, P.L. Handa, and others, were present on the occasion.

The event highlighted the importance of preserving Indian classical music traditions while encouraging young students and music enthusiasts to stay connected with the country’s rich cultural heritage.
