Manali Police Rescue Tourist Trapped at Beas Kund

A tourist trekking in the Beas Kund area near the popular tourist destination of Manali was successfully rescued after getting trapped in heavy snow, thanks to a swift response by the Manali Police.

According to officials, 20-year-old Arshad, a resident of Kerala, had gone trekking in the Beas Kund region when his shoes became wet in the snow, leaving him unable to move forward. After failing to reach safety on his own, he contacted emergency helpline number 112 and requested immediate assistance.

Upon receiving the alert, Police Sub-Inspector Rajkumar, who was deployed for security duty at Atal Tunnel Rohtang, rushed to the location with his rescue team. After reaching the site, the team discovered that the tourist was stranded nearly two kilometers above Dhundi Bridge amid deep snow and harsh weather conditions.

Despite the challenging terrain, the police personnel displayed courage and prompt action. The rescue team carried the stranded tourist on their back and safely brought him to a secure location.

The timely rescue operation once again highlighted the preparedness and dedication of the Himachal Pradesh Police in ensuring the safety of tourists visiting high-altitude trekking destinations.
