Keylong (Kameshwar Sharma): The Jobrang Bridge Lahaul Spiti issue received immediate attention after Deputy Commissioner Kiran Bhadana visited the affected area to inspect the bridge and assess the problems faced by local residents. During the visit, she reviewed the condition of the bridge, interacted with villagers and farmers, and directed officials to implement urgent relief measures.
The inspection was attended by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Inderjeet Sira, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rashmi Sharma, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Ashwani Guleria, and other district officials.
Villagers Raise Connectivity Concerns

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department to arrange two span carriers (ropeway transport systems) on priority. These carriers will help farmers transport vegetables and agricultural produce safely to nearby markets.
Additionally, she instructed officials to reopen the alternative Lingar route without delay.
She also ordered departments to deploy additional machinery and workers. As a result, authorities expect to improve connectivity and reduce inconvenience for local residents.

Apart from immediate relief, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to prepare a detailed long-term plan for the Jobrang Bridge Lahaul Spiti problem.
She noted that residents have faced this issue for several years. Therefore, the administration will coordinate with all concerned departments to develop a permanent solution.
Moreover, she emphasized that better infrastructure would improve transportation, strengthen agricultural marketing, and ensure public safety during the monsoon season.
