Mawan Dhiyan Satikar Yojana Launched, AAP Celebrates

Ajnala (Suraj Kamlesh): The launch of the Mawan Dhiyan Satikar Yojana was celebrated at the Aam Aadmi Party’s constituency office in Ajnala, where party leaders, volunteers, and women beneficiaries gathered to watch the live telecast of the scheme’s official launch.

Moreover, party workers celebrated the occasion by raising slogans and distributing sweets after the announcement.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal Welcomes Women Beneficiaries

AAP MLA and party spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal attended the programme as the chief guest.

Following the live telecast, he welcomed women beneficiaries under the Mawan Dhiyan Satikar Yojana and thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for implementing the scheme as promised during the 2022 Assembly elections.

During his address, he said eligible women from the general category have started receiving ₹3,000 as the first three-month installment. Likewise, eligible Scheduled Caste women have received ₹4,500 under the first phase of the scheme.

Government Highlights Fulfilment of Election Promise

Meanwhile, Dhaliwal said the Punjab Government has fulfilled its election guarantees and introduced several additional welfare initiatives for the people of the state.

Furthermore, he claimed that previous governments failed to implement many of their election promises. In contrast, he said the present government continues to introduce welfare programmes for citizens and fulfil its commitments.

Nearly 50 Lakh Women Registered

According to Dhaliwal, nearly 50 lakh women aged 18 years and above registered under the Mawan Dhiyan Satikar Yojana.

Moreover, he added that almost 97% of eligible women have already received benefits during the first phase.

Additionally, the Punjab Government has earmarked ₹9,300 crore to implement the scheme across the state. As a result, millions of eligible women are expected to benefit from the initiative in the coming months.

Registration Remains Open

The government has deployed around 2 lakh Mahila Satikar Sakhis to assist women with registration.

Additionally, eligible women can continue registering through Anganwadi Centres, Seva Kendras, Suvidha Centres, and other centres designated by district administrations.

Therefore, women who have not yet completed registration can still apply and receive benefits under the scheme.

Large Gathering Marks the Occasion

Several party leaders attended the programme, including Advocate Amandeep Kaur Dhaliwal, Punjab Minorities Commission Vice-Chairperson Geeta Gill, city president Amit Aul, Bhatti Jaspal Singh Dhillon, Gurdeep Kaur, and numerous party workers and volunteers.

The event concluded with celebrations and greetings for women beneficiaries participating in the welfare initiative.
