New Delhi: The Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut has brought welcome relief to restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments from July 1. The government has reduced the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹183.50, lowering its price from ₹3,113.50 to ₹2,930.
Moreover, this is the first reduction in commercial LPG cylinder prices this year after several consecutive hikes.
Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged
While commercial users have received relief, the government has not changed the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder.
As a result, household consumers will continue to pay the existing rate. The latest revision applies only to commercial LPG cylinders used by businesses.
Commercial LPG Prices Had Risen Sharply This Year
The Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut comes after a series of steep price increases during 2026.
In January, the commercial cylinder cost ₹1,691.50 in New Delhi. However, prices increased steadily over the following months.
Authorities increased the price by ₹28 on March 1 and by another ₹114.50 on March 7. Later, a sharp ₹993 hike in May pushed the price to ₹3,071.50. Another ₹42 increase followed on June 1.
Consequently, the latest reduction offers significant relief to commercial consumers.
New Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Across Major Cities
Following the Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Cut, the revised prices are:
- New Delhi: ₹2,930
- Lucknow: ₹3,052.50 (down from ₹3,236)
- Kolkata: ₹3,081.50 (down from ₹3,255.50)
- Patna: ₹3,227
Businesses across these cities are expected to benefit from lower operating costs.
Centre Revises Fuel Export Duties
Besides reducing commercial LPG prices, the Central Government has revised export duties on petroleum products from July 1.
The government has increased the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on petrol exports from ₹1.5 per litre to ₹4 per litre. Officials introduced this measure to discourage oil companies from exporting petrol instead of supplying the domestic market.
At the same time, the government reduced export duties on diesel and aviation turbine fuel after reviewing international crude oil price trends.
Diesel and ATF Exporters Get Major Relief
The government has reduced the export duty on diesel from ₹14 per litre to ₹8.5 per litre.
Similarly, it has lowered the export duty on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) from ₹12.5 per litre to ₹7.5 per litre.
Therefore, exporters dealing in diesel and ATF are expected to benefit from lower tax burdens.
