Solan (Kameshwar Sharma): Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu addressed a large public meeting in the Neri Kalan area of Kasuali Assembly constituency in Solan district. - ₹61/litre for cow milk
- ₹71/litre for buffalo milk
- ₹50/kg for maize
- ₹80/kg for wheat
He added that payments are being made directly through DBT to ensure transparency.
Moreover, under the Rajiv Gandhi Forest Conservation Scheme, women and youth groups are being encouraged to participate in plantation drives. The Forest Department provides plants and incentives for their care and growth.
Welfare Schemes for Vulnerable Sections
CM Sukhu highlighted several welfare initiatives during the CM Sukhu Solan Public Meeting. He said Himachal Pradesh has become the first state to grant “Children of the State” status to orphan children, ensuring full government support until the age of 27.
He also mentioned the Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, which supports education for children of widows and single mothers.
In addition, the Dr. Y.S. Parmar Education Loan Scheme provides education loans up to ₹20 lakh at just 1% interest, making higher education more accessible.

The Chief Minister stated that education standards in Himachal Pradesh have improved significantly. The state has moved from 21st position to 5th position in education rankings.
He also said that around 7,000 teachers have been recruited to strengthen schools. Furthermore, 150 CBSE schools have been launched to improve English and Mathematics education.
In healthcare, CM Sukhu announced the installation of advanced medical technologies, including 3 Tesla MRI machines and robotic surgery facilities in major hospitals. He added that automated labs will soon be established in all medical colleges.
