Chandigarh: In a move set to energize the sports and youth landscape of Punjab, renowned wrestler and ‘Rustam-e-Hind’ Jaskwar Singh Patti, popularly known as ‘Jassa Patti,’ has officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He was inducted into the party alongside his team in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

CM Mann Welcomes the Wrestling Legend

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann extended a warm welcome to Jassa Patti, lauding him as a symbol of pride for Punjab. The CM emphasized that Jassa Patti’s discipline and relentless work ethic serve as a powerful blueprint for the state’s younger generation.

During the induction, the Chief Minister highlighted that Jassa Patti’s association with the party will significantly bolster the state government’s ongoing “drug-free Punjab” campaign. By leveraging his massive influence, the government aims to encourage youth to pivot away from substance abuse and focus on sports and physical fitness.

Building a ‘Rangla Punjab’

“With Jassa Patti joining us, our collective resolve to build a ‘Rangla Punjab’ (Vibrant Punjab) will gain fresh momentum,” CM Mann stated. He expressed full confidence that Jassa Patti’s extensive experience in the sporting arena will be vital in guiding the state’s youth in the right direction.

In a social media statement, the Chief Minister added that the wrestler’s entry would bring a renewed sense of dedication to public service.

Expressing his gratitude, Jassa Patti thanked the Chief Minister and the party leadership for the warm welcome. He pledged to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the government, focusing his efforts on state-wide development and the promotion of sports culture at the grassroots level.
