Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): A special program was organized at Deepak Bhojanalaya in Middle Bazaar, Shimla, where more than 40 BJP workers gathered to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio program Mann Ki Baat and drew inspiration from his message.
The event was attended by BJP State Media Co-convener Karna Nanda as the chief guest. Other prominent present included State Treasurer Kamaljeet Sood, Co-Media In-charge Sudeep Mahajan, along with Shyam Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Som Kirti, Khanna Ji, Neeltu, Abhay Sharma, Seema, Raju, Bhaskar, and several party workers.
Speaking to the media after the program, Karna Nanda said that through Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister is uniting the nation and providing an effective platform to connect people from all sections of society.
He highlighted that in the 133rd episode, the Prime Minister presented a unique blend of science and peace. While emphasizing the teachings of Gautama Buddha as essential for global harmony, he also described the success of the indigenous fast breeder reactor at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, as a “golden era” in India’s nuclear history.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that India’s civil nuclear program is opening new avenues of self-reliance in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and energy. He further noted that India’s wind energy capacity has surpassed 56 GW, with an addition of nearly 6 GW in the past year, reflecting rapid growth in clean energy.
Karna Nanda stated that the journey from Buddha’s message of peace to modern nuclear technology strengthens the vision of a developed and self-reliant India. He also recalled the Prime Minister’s special connection with Deepak Bhojanalaya, a place he frequently visited during his tenure as BJP in-charge of Himachal Pradesh.
Concluding his remarks, he said that Mann Ki Baat has evolved into a powerful medium to connect, inspire, and guide citizens, encouraging everyone to contribute actively to nation-building.
