On the occasion of Himachal Day 2026, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu felicitated distinguished personalities and institutions with State-Level Awards 2026 for their outstanding contributions across various fields.
During the ceremony, Civil Services Awards, Prerna Srot Samman, and Himachal Gaurav Awards were presented to individuals and organizations for their exemplary service and achievements.
Under the Civil Services Awards category, Apurv Devgan was honored in the departmental category, the Department of Digital Technology and Governance received recognition in the institutional category, and Smritika Negi was awarded in the individual category.
Under the Prerna Srot Samman, Charu Sharma from Shimla and Chonzin Angmo from Kinnaur were recognized in the individual category. In the group category, members of the Indian women’s kabaddi team—including Ritu Negi, Sakshi Sharma, Pushpa, Bhavna Devi, and Champa Thakur—were honored for their achievements. The Urology Department of Chamiyana Hospital was also awarded for its contribution in healthcare services.
The Himachal Gaurav Awards were presented to Prem Lal Gautam, Dr. O.P. Sharma, Dr. Brij Sharma, Harleen Kaur, and Snehlata for their exceptional work in their respective fields.
Additionally, ASI Vikas Guleria, Head Constable Lalit Kumar, Mehr Chand from Kinnaur Police, and several Public Works Department employees were also recognized for their commendable service.
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed land ownership certificates under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) to 24 families. He also handed over cheques of ₹1 lakh each as the first installment for house construction to 9 beneficiaries under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board scheme. The initiative aims to provide financial support to widows, destitute women, and single women.
