Raghav Chadha’s Z+ Security Withdrawn Amid Political Row in Punjab

Raghav Chadha Z+ Security Withdrawn Amid AAP Row

Chandigarh – A major political development has emerged involving Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, as the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reportedly withdrawn his Z+ security cover.

The move comes just days after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) removed Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. According to sources, the decision reflects growing internal differences within the party.

Reports suggest that the Centre may now step in to provide Z+ security to Raghav Chadha. Until formal arrangements are finalized, responsibility for his security has been temporarily assigned to the Delhi Police.

However, Chadha has denied claims that he has been officially granted any central security cover.

The development has intensified political discussions within Punjab and the AAP, especially amid ongoing internal tensions. Recently, the party leadership removed Chadha from his parliamentary position, triggering further controversy.

Reacting to his removal, Chadha stated that he was not defeated but was being silenced, a remark widely seen as a direct message to the party leadership.

Some party leaders have alleged that Chadha failed to effectively raise Punjab-related issues in Parliament and focused more on public relations rather than adopting a strong stand against the central government.

Chadha has strongly rejected these allegations, stating that his role in Parliament is to raise public interest issues, not create unnecessary disruptions. He also shared videos and posts highlighting his parliamentary work in response to criticism.

The situation continues to develop, reflecting widening rifts within the party leadership.
