Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrated in Amritsar Temple

Amritsar: The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Guru Ravidas Temple located on Chamarang Road in the East constituency.

The event was organized under the leadership of temple president Jugal Ji and was attended by senior Congress leader and former Improvement Trust Chairman Dinesh Bassi as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Dinesh Bassi highlighted Babasaheb’s life struggles, his fight for social justice, and his significant contribution to the making of the Indian Constitution. He said that Dr. Ambedkar’s vision continues to inspire society to work towards equality and justice.

Floral tributes were offered to Babasaheb during the event as a mark of respect.

Former Deputy Chief Minister O. P. Soni and former MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma also attended the event and urged people to adopt the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar in their daily lives.

Several other dignitaries, including Councillor Rajiv Chhabra, Vikas Soni, former president Ashwani Pappu, Pawan Rana Rakkhra, Mandeep Bhullar, and Raj Ji, along with members of the local community, were present on the occasion.

At the conclusion of the event, attendees collectively pledged to fulfill Babasaheb’s vision and strengthen unity, brotherhood, and harmony in society.
