Zirakpur Police Bust Racket, 7 Women Rescued

Zirakpur: In a major crackdown on illegal activities, Zirakpur Police exposed a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a hotel on the Patiala Highway.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a late-night raid at a hotel identified as AK Grand Hotel. The operation was carried out jointly by Zirakpur Police and the traffic police team under the supervision of ASP Gazalpreet Kaur.

During the raid, police rescued seven young women from the premises and arrested four individuals accused of running the illegal prostitution business. Preliminary investigation revealed that most of the rescued women are reportedly from West Bengal.

According to officials, the police had received credible information about immoral activities being conducted at the hotel. Following this, a planned operation was executed to dismantle the racket.

Investigations further revealed that this was not the first case linked to the hotel. Earlier too, two separate cases had been registered against the establishment, raising serious concerns about its involvement in illegal activities.

Police have now launched a detailed investigation to uncover the entire network behind the racket. Authorities are trying to identify the individuals responsible for trafficking the women and others connected to the operation.

Search operations are ongoing to arrest additional suspects involved in the case.
