Amritsar (Rajesh Sandhu): A total of 541 devotees approved for Pakistan Sikh pilgrimage 2026 will travel to Pakistan under the arrangement of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). The pilgrimage carries special religious importance because it links devotees with the martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru.

The SGPC jatha will depart from Amritsar on June 10. Moreover, the group will visit several historic Sikh gurdwaras in Pakistan before participating in religious events scheduled for June 18.

SGPC Sends 561 Passports for Visa Processing

According to SGPC officials, the committee forwarded 561 passports to the Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi for visa approval. However, the embassy issued visas to 541 devotees.

As a result, 20 applicants did not receive visa clearance. SGPC officials have informed the concerned individuals about their application status.
