Srinagar, December 26: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a detailed weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting partly to generally cloudy conditions through the coming week, with the possibility of light rain and snow at several places during the last days of December and early January.
According to Met Department , the weather will remain partly cloudy from December 26 to 29, with no major precipitation expected. On December 30, the region may witness generally cloudy skies accompanied by light rain or snowfall at isolated locations.
From December 31 to January 1, several areas are likely to receive light rain or snow, while moderate snowfall is expected in some middle and higher reaches of north and central Kashmir. On January 2, the weather will turn partly cloudy again, with the possibility of light snowfall in a few higher-altitude areas.
Between January 3 and 6, conditions are forecast to remain mostly partly cloudy with no significant weather activity.
⚠️ Advisory:
The Met department has advised travelers and transporters to follow all traffic and administrative advisories issued during the period to avoid disruptions caused by snow or fog. Moderate to dense fog is also likely to occur over isolated plains of the Jammu division during the next three days.
