UK Member of Parliament from Birmingham Edgbaston, Preet Kaur Gill, paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib today, expressing deep reverence and devotion towards Guru Sahib.
After offering prayers at the holy shrine, she visited the office of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), where she met SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.
Welcoming the visiting MP, Dhami honored Preet Kaur Gill on behalf of the SGPC by presenting a traditional Guru Bakshish Siropa and a golden model of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib as a mark of respect.
Speaking on the occasion, Preet Kaur Gill thanked the SGPC for the honor and said she felt blessed to bow at Sri Harmandir Sahib, which she described as a spiritual guide for all humanity. She stated that after becoming an MP, she had come to express gratitude to Guru Sahib and offer prayers for the welfare of all.
She also prayed for global peace, expressing hope that ongoing conflicts across the world would ease and humanity would progress in harmony and prosperity.
Several SGPC members and officials, including executive committee members and administrative representatives, were present during the meeting.
