The two-day national seminar (conducted in hybrid mode) organized by the Department of Commerce, Rajkiya College Sanjauli, in collaboration with ICSR, concluded today. The seminar, titled “Designing Inclusion: Health, Education and Culture under GST”, held its closing session in the college auditorium, with Prof. Mahavir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, as the chief guest.
The second day featured parallel technical sessions along with a plenary session. Notable speakers included Dr. Pushpendra from Karorimal College, Delhi University, and retired Principal Dr. Rajesh Dhorta from Himachal Pradesh Higher Education Department.
During the valedictory session, Dr. Pooja Dulta summarized the key insights of the seminar. College Principal and seminar patron Prof. Bharti Bhagra highlighted that the institution regularly organizes seminars to promote research, and this seminar provided valuable perspectives on the impact of GST on health, education, and culture.
The chief guest linked health, education, and culture with nanotechnology and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research in today’s era. To encourage research among students, B.Com final-year students Vibhuti and Divya were awarded the Best Researcher Award. In addition, Ashish Kumar and Swati Kapil received the Best Researcher Award in the research category, while Dr. Bhushan Azad of Rajkiya College Kumarsain was honored in the faculty category.
Dr. Rajendra Singh, Head of the Commerce Department, presented the vote of thanks. External advisor Dr. Mohammad Sharif, along with Dr. Anupam Verma and Dr. Reena Thakur, played key roles in the organizing committee, while Dr. Aditya Dulta contributed notably to stage management. The program was also attended by Dr. Ramlal Sharma, Registrar of APG University.
