Telangana Municipal Elections See 73.01% Voter Turnout; Choutuppal Records Highest Polling

73.01% Turnout in Telangana Municipal Polls

The municipal elections in Telangana concluded peacefully, with only a few minor incidents reported across the state. According to electoral officials, the overall voter turnout stood at an impressive 73.01 percent.

Voters participated enthusiastically in the democratic exercise, turning out in large numbers to cast their votes.

Among the municipalities, Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district recorded the highest voter turnout at 91.91 percent. On the other hand, Nandikonda in Nalgonda district registered the lowest turnout at 59.68 percent.

In the category of municipal corporations, Nalgonda witnessed the highest polling percentage at 77.36 percent, while Nizamabad recorded the lowest at 59.12 percent.

Female voters showed slightly higher participation compared to their male counterparts. The turnout among women stood at 73.39 percent, while male voter turnout was recorded at 72.63 percent.

Election officials confirmed that the counting of votes will take place on the 13th of this month. Authorities described the polling process as largely smooth and successful, crediting the high voter participation for strengthening the democratic process in the state.
