Government Senior Secondary Smart School in Basti Danishmanda Celebrates Successful Annual Day Function

Jalandhar, December 19 (Harpal Singh): The Government Senior Secondary Smart School in Basti Danishmanda, Jalandhar West constituency, hosted its annual function with great pomp. Students showcased their multifaceted talents through captivating dances, impactful dramas, yoga demonstrations, and melodious music performances, earning sustained applause from the audience.​

Parents present expressed pride in their children’s presentations, which delivered inspirational messages on social issues. The drama effectively highlighted the rising influence of social media, its positive and negative aspects, while yoga displays underscored the significance of physical, mental, and emotional health. Performances on time management further promoted contemporary life skills.​

The event commenced with Principal Rekha lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. She emphasized how the function fostered social awareness, moral values, and practical skills among students. Awards were presented to meritorious pupils and dedicated teachers.

Chief guests included Sanjeev Bhagat, District Coordinator of Education Revolution (Jalandhar West); Subhash Goria, Chairman of Anti-Crime Social Security Cell, Punjab; Advocate Sandeep Verma, Incharge of Ward No. 54; journalist Vinod Kumar; and Vikas Bhagat (Sonu). In their addresses, Goria and Verma noted that such events enhance students’ confidence and inspire future success.​
