To maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident in Gurdaspur district, SSP Aditya carried out surprise late-night inspections at police checkpoints set up at major intersections and sensitive areas.

During his visit, the SSP interacted with police personnel deployed at the checkpoints and issued clear instructions to thoroughly check every vehicle and individual. He emphasized that special attention must be given to suspicious persons and vehicles, warning that any negligence in duty would not be tolerated.

SSP Aditya said that as part of intensified policing efforts, special checkpoints have been established across the district to completely curb criminal elements. He added that all vehicles and individuals entering from Jammu and Kashmir and other border areas of Punjab are being strictly checked to prevent any suspicious activity.

The SSP personally reviewed the security arrangements at various checkpoints and motivated on-duty staff to remain alert and vigilant at all times. He stated that public safety remains the top priority of the police, and personnel are working round-the-clock to ensure security.

To effectively control crime, barricading and patrolling have been increased in both urban and rural areas of the district. SSP Aditya also appealed to the public to immediately inform the police if they notice any suspicious activity.

He stressed that peace and security can only be maintained through active cooperation between the police and the public. The surprise checking drive has boosted alertness among police personnel and sent a strong message to criminal elements operating in the district.
