Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson and Rajya Sabha member Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi late in the evening due to health issues reportedly caused by seasonal changes. She is under medical supervision, and a team of senior doctors is monitoring her condition.
According to hospital sources, there is no serious health concern at present. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were also present with her during the hospital visit.
This is not the first time Sonia Gandhi has been hospitalized at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. In January, she was admitted after experiencing breathing difficulties. At that time, hospital chairman Ajay Swarup stated that a detailed medical examination revealed that the combined effects of cold weather and pollution had slightly aggravated her bronchial asthma. As a precautionary measure, doctors decided to admit her for observation and treatment.
Swarup added that Gandhi was experiencing difficulty in breathing, and the hospital was taking all necessary steps to ensure her safety and care.
