Shimla Youth Congress Meeting Focuses on Panchayat Polls

A significant meeting of the District Shimla Youth Congress was held on Monday at the Pradesh Congress Office, Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla. The meeting was chaired by newly appointed District President Yogesh Thakur and attended by Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress Co-Incharge Jyotish HM, State President Chhattar Singh Thakur, and State General Secretary Dr. Ranjit Singh Verma as special guests.

During the meeting, participants reviewed various programs and organizational activities conducted earlier by the district unit. Detailed discussions were held on future strategies aimed at strengthening the organization at the grassroots level.

The ongoing “Kisan Nyay Satyagraha” campaign of the Youth Congress was also discussed, with leaders emphasizing its effective organization and wider outreach among farmers and youth.

Keeping the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections in view, special emphasis was laid on ensuring active participation of Youth Congress workers. Leaders agreed on multiple plans to strengthen the organization at booth level and enhance youth involvement in political and social activities.

District President Yogesh Thakur stated that the Shimla Youth Congress is committed to raising the voice of young people and strengthening the organization down to the grassroots level. He urged party workers to actively participate in upcoming programs.

State Youth Congress President Chhattar Singh Thakur, in his address, said the organization is consistently raising public issues across the state and will become more active and effective in the coming time. He encouraged workers to remain united and focus on organizational expansion and public service.

A large number of Youth Congress leaders and workers, including State General Secretary Dr. Ranjit Singh Verma, Ankur Sharma, State Secretary Tushar Stan, assembly presidents, block presidents, and office bearers from across Shimla district, were present at the meeting.
