Una: In a major crackdown, police in Una district of Himachal Pradesh have busted a prostitution racket operating from a private guest house. A joint police team conducted a raid and rescued three women while arresting three accused in connection with the case.
Police had been receiving confidential inputs about the illegal activities for a long time. Acting on the tip-off, officials planned and executed the raid. During the operation, objectionable materials were also recovered from the premises.
Superintendent of Police Sachin Hirameth said, “We had prior information about this activity and were continuously working to crack the network. During today’s operation, three women were rescued and three individuals were arrested. Action is also being taken against the guest house owner.”
Police are now investigating the role of the guest house owner and trying to identify other individuals involved in the racket. A case has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway.
Authorities have also warned of strict action against such illegal activities in the future.
