Jammu, Dec 22: Citing adverse weather conditions and concerns over student safety, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu cancelled all previously granted permissions for school picnics scheduled from December 22 onwards.
A notice from the CEO’s office states that permissions for both government and private recognised schools stand cancelled ab-initio to ensure student safety and well-being amid prevailing bad weather.
Authorities directed all institutions to strictly comply, prioritizing safety as many picnic destinations are remote and colder than urban school areas.
