Rewari: Taxi Driver Loot Accused Recover Arms Cache During Remand; PhD Aspirant Reveals Revenge Plot Against Drug Lord for Father’s ‘Planned’ Death

Crime and Arrests

Two accused arrested on December 16 for shooting and robbing a taxi driver in Rewari led police to recover a large cache of weapons and equipment during remand. CIA interrogation revealed PhD aspirant Devanshu amassed arms to dismantle the empire of history-sheeter Vinod Fedric, suspecting him in his father Surajbhan’s 1995 “planned accident.”

Father’s Tragic Story

Surajbhan joined Rajasthan Police as a constable in 1988, known for honesty and jailing criminals like drug peddler Vinod Fedric. After Fedric’s arrest, Surajbhan died in a suspicious accident, fueling Devanshu’s revenge motive while pursuing studies. He befriended Azamgarh resident Shubham, who connected him to Meerut-based arms dealer Bunty for weapons procurement.

Weapons Recovered

Police seized 5 country-made pistols, 250 live cartridges, 8 magazines, 22 magazine springs, 1 barrel spring, 1 bag, 1 iPhone, 6 walkie-talkie sets, 5 walkie-talkie chargers, 5 adapters, 1 glove packet, 1 binocular, 2 power adapters, 3 empty cartridge boxes, and 1 handcuff. The arms supplier has already been arrested, with probes ongoing into supply networks.
