Residents of Annagarh in the Central Assembly constituency staged protests against an alleged illegal construction reportedly being carried out in the name of a mosque and madrasa. Locals took to the streets demanding immediate administrative action over the issue.
According to residents, several written complaints and memorandums had already been submitted to the authorities, but no action had been taken so far. The protesters alleged that the construction work continued despite repeated objections from the local community.
Senior BJP leader Dr. Ram Chawla visited the spot to assess the situation. During the visit, a delegation led by Ashok Kumar handed over a written memorandum highlighting the concerns of residents. Chawla assured the public that he would strongly raise the matter before the administration.
He demanded an immediate investigation into the legality of the construction and stated that if any violation of rules is found, the structure should be demolished without delay. He also urged the administration to conduct proper verification of residents in the area to prevent any unlawful activities.
Several local leaders and residents, including Mandal President Tehal Singh, Jatin Kumar, Seenu Kumar, Kamal, Vinod Pal, Sanjeev Kumar, and others, were present during the protest.
The issue has sparked local political attention, with residents calling for swift administrative intervention to maintain law and order and ensure compliance with legal norms.
