Punjab Weather Shift Expected

Punjab’s weather will change soon, with rain possible in several areas alongside dense fog and cold wave conditions.

Alerts Issued

The meteorological department has issued a red alert for many districts in Punjab and Haryana due to dense and very dense fog reducing visibility. These conditions will persist for the next 3-4 days, intensifying the cold wave.

Travel Advisory

People should exercise extra caution, especially avoiding travel during early mornings and nights when fog peaks. Road and rail traffic may face disruptions from the fog.

Rain Forecast

After January 22, rain chances increase as a western disturbance activates, potentially lowering daytime temperatures further. Faridkot, Bathinda, and Firozpur in Punjab face severe cold alerts, while Sirsa, Hisar, and Fatehabad in Haryana have similar warnings.

Safety Appeal

Farmers and the public should monitor weather updates closely and take necessary precautions.
