Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today affirmed the state government’s commitment to creating an equitable society by following the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj. Highlighting the importance of preserving Guru Ji’s legacy, the CM announced a state-level event to be held on February 6 at Khuralgarh in Hoshiarpur district.
The Chief Minister stated that the entire cabinet would participate in the celebration, paying homage to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji with devotion and respect. He urged the public to attend the event with full religious enthusiasm and actively participate in the celebrations.
CM Mann emphasized that following the path shown by Guru Ravidas Ji is essential to eliminate social evils and promote harmony within society. He described Guru Ji’s teachings as a beacon for humanity, guiding people worldwide toward compassion, equality, and justice. According to him, the divine message of Guru Ravidas Ji can help address societal challenges and inspire a more inclusive community.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state government’s creation of a world-class memorial at Khuralgarh, constructed at a cost of approximately ₹148 crore, as a tribute to Guru Ravidas Ji. This monument includes a fully equipped building, multi-level parking, Minar-e-Begampura, a congregation hall, a modern auditorium, and other facilities. He reiterated that Guru Ji’s teachings promote the welfare of all humanity and advocate equality for every section of society, laying the foundation for a fair and inclusive community.
