President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh beginning today to witness the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026. She is scheduled to arrive in Visakhapatnam this evening, where she will be received by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. A Presidential Banquet will be hosted in her honour later in the evening.
Tomorrow, in her capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the President will witness the International Fleet Review 2026. She will review an impressive display of ships, submarines, and aircraft from India and several friendly foreign nations off the Visakhapatnam coast.
Organised by the Indian Navy under the theme “United Through Oceans, Strengthening Bridges of Friendship,” the review highlights maritime capability, international cooperation, and India’s sovereign presence at sea.
The IFR is being conducted alongside the 13th edition of the MILAN multilateral naval exercise and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave. These engagements aim to enhance professional interaction, interoperability, and strategic collaboration among participating navies in the Bay of Bengal region.
The event underscores India’s growing maritime outreach and commitment to strengthening naval partnerships across the Indo-Pacific.
