President of India Droupadi Murmu visited the sacred Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on Thursday, where she offered prayers and sought blessings amid grand religious celebrations. She was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

During her visit, the President performed the ceremonial ‘Ram Yantra’ Sthapana inside the temple complex and participated in a devotional aarti before the idol of Lord Ram. The occasion marked an important religious milestone, with special ceremonies organised at the temple and thousands of devotees, saints, and invited guests in attendance.

According to temple authorities, around 6,000 guests from across Uttar Pradesh were invited, including workers, vendors, and artisans who contributed to the construction and development of the Ram Mandir project. The religious programme was scheduled between 11 am and 2 pm.

The entire city of Ayodhya was decorated to mark the occasion. Major roads, intersections, and routes leading to the temple were adorned with banners and posters featuring images of the President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Streets were lined with saffron flags and decorative pennants, creating a festive and devotional atmosphere across the city. Authorities also implemented extensive arrangements for security, sanitation, and traffic management to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

Temple trustee Anil Mishra stated that the President installed the Shri Ram Yantra and performed aarti as part of the ceremony. Meanwhile, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, highlighted that the event signifies the completion phase of temple construction and installation works. He added that the temple complex will now be fully accessible to devotees from across India and abroad.
