Fresh political activity has emerged within the Punjab Congress after senior leader Pratap Singh Bajwa hosted a special dinner meeting aimed at bringing different party factions together.
The “dinner diplomacy” event was held at his residence in Sector 8, Chandigarh, where several prominent Congress leaders gathered under one roof.
Among those present were Punjab Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Punjab Congress in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, Rana K. P. Singh, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, along with Kiki Dhillon, Aruna Chaudhary, Vijay Inder Singla, MLAs, former ministers, and district presidents.
Photographs from the meeting show leaders seated around a round table, engaging in informal discussions over tea and dinner. The atmosphere appeared cordial, with open dialogue taking place on key political issues.
Discussions reportedly focused on strengthening the party organization, preparing strategy for upcoming elections, and improving direct outreach with grassroots workers. Several leaders shared their views candidly and emphasized the need to bridge internal differences.
Addressing the gathering, Pratap Singh Bajwa urged all leaders to work unitedly in the interest of the party.
Such informal meetings often help rebuild trust within party ranks. Bringing various factions together under one roof is not an easy task, but the dinner meeting has sent a clear signal that efforts are underway to foster unity within the Congress.
Party workers have welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that this renewed unity will soon be visible at the grassroots level as well.
