PM Modi Pays Tribute to Martyrs on Shaheed Diwas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to legendary freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas, honoring their supreme sacrifice for India’s independence.

Remembering the iconic revolutionaries, the Prime Minister said their martyrdom remains deeply embedded in India’s collective memory and continues to inspire generations across the country. He highlighted that despite their young age, the three freedom fighters demonstrated extraordinary courage and unwavering dedication to the cause of India’s freedom.

In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister stated that Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev chose the path of sacrifice without fear, placing the nation above their own lives even in the face of colonial oppression.

He emphasized that their ideals of justice, patriotism, and fearless resistance still ignite the spirit of millions of Indians and serve as a guiding force for the nation.

“Today, we bow in reverence to the brave sons of Bharat Mata, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Their martyrdom for the nation remains etched in our collective memory,” the Prime Minister wrote.

Shaheed Diwas is observed every year on March 23 to commemorate the sacrifice of the three revolutionaries, who were executed by the British colonial government in 1931 for their role in India’s freedom struggle. The day is marked across the country with tributes, remembrance ceremonies, and patriotic events honoring their legacy.

The Prime Minister’s tribute reaffirmed the nation’s gratitude toward the martyrs whose courage and sacrifice played a pivotal role in India’s independence movement.
