PM Modi Criticizes Congress Over Alleged Corruption and Controversial Slogans

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Congress Party, accusing it of a historical pattern of corruption. Responding to the debate in the Rajya Sabha following President Droupadi Murmu’s speech, PM Modi said, “The act of stealing has been a family profession for them [Congress]. They even stole a Gujarati nickname of Mahatma Gandhi, and now the people are teaching them a lesson.”

The Prime Minister also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s famous slogan about the “store of love,” questioning its credibility. “What kind of ‘store of love’ envisions digging the grave of a fellow citizen? Those claiming to run a ‘store of love’ are using slogans like ‘Modi, your grave will be dug.’ Where in the Constitution do they learn to speak about digging a citizen’s grave? Is this not an insult to humanity? Is this not a disrespect to public life and dignity?” he asked, highlighting what he called the moral and ethical failures of the party.

PM Modi emphasized that despite such rhetoric, the Congress Party shows no remorse, questioning its commitment to democratic values and respect for public life.
