Mansa Police arrested jail havildar Nirpal Singh—currently posted at Barnala Jail—in the Pastor Bajinder matter over allegations of supplying a mobile phone inside Mansa Jail.
Smuggling Incident
On June 24, authorities recovered the phone and cash from the rape convict; Bajinder, serving life imprisonment plus ₹1 lakh fine since April 1, 2025, for the 2018 Zirakpur case involving rape, assault, and threats, had the contraband.
Nirpal was nabbed from Barnala and handed to Mansa investigators. This bust exposes ongoing prison security lapses in the high-profile case.
