No Shortage of Petrol & Diesel in India, BPCL Assures Public

BPCL Confirms No Petrol & Diesel Shortage in India

After recent concerns over LPG availability, rumors of petrol and diesel shortages have caused panic at fuel stations in several states. In response, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) clarified on Wednesday that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in the country. The company urged the public not to pay attention to circulating misinformation.

BPCL confirmed that fuel production and supply across India are running smoothly and uninterrupted. There is sufficient petrol and diesel at all fuel stations, and the company is committed to maintaining this supply. In an advisory, BPCL stated that claims of fuel shortages are entirely baseless and nothing more than rumors.

The company further highlighted that India is currently a net exporter of petrol and diesel, underlining the country’s ample reserves of crude oil and aviation fuel. Social media posts on Twitter (now X) reinforced that the supply chain is fully operational and unaffected by any disruptions.

Citizens are advised not to panic or engage in unnecessary rushes at fuel stations. With all states and regions having full access to petrol and diesel, the question of scarcity does not arise now or in the near future.
