Navjot Kaur Sidhu Attends Sant Rampal Ashram Event, Hints at Quitting Politics

Navjot Kaur Sidhu at Sant Rampal Ashram

Former Punjab Congress leader and cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, attended a religious event at the ashram of Sant Rampal in Khamano, Fatehgarh Sahib.

Speaking at the event, Navjot Kaur Sidhu said she has been associated with saints since childhood and draws spiritual inspiration from them. She added that she continues to serve society at both medical and political levels, guided by spiritual teachings.

In a significant announcement, she revealed that both she and her husband have pledged to donate their entire bodies after death so their organs can benefit others.

Congratulating seven girls at the Khamano ashram for their dowry-free marriages, she emphasized that her own marriage and the weddings of her children were also conducted simply without dowry. She stated that supporting the marriage of daughters is among the greatest forms of service and claimed she personally helps organize marriages for nearly 100 underprivileged girls.

Navjot Kaur Sidhu further hinted that she is considering stepping away from active politics to devote more time to spiritual service. She remarked that politics has changed over the years and that many politicians have lost their original identity and purpose.

Reflecting on her personal journey after battling cancer, she said she has shifted her focus more toward devotion and spirituality, describing her recovery as experiencing a “golden age in the midst of the dark age.”

Her remarks have sparked fresh discussions in Punjab’s political and social circles regarding her possible future away from mainstream politics.
