Mohan Bhagwat Calls for Peace Amid Iran Conflict, Says India Can Help End War

Mohan Bhagwat Says India Can Help End Global Conflicts

Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has issued a strong message of peace amid rising global tensions linked to the Iran conflict, stating that India has the potential to play a key role in ending wars through its civilizational values and approach to harmony.

Addressing a gathering in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Bhagwat said that wars are often the result of selfish interests and the desire for dominance among nations. Without directly naming US President Donald Trump, he emphasized that the world currently needs goodwill and cooperation rather than confrontation.

India’s Role in Global Peace

The RSS chief asserted that many global thinkers believe India can contribute significantly toward ending ongoing conflicts due to its cultural philosophy rooted in unity, discipline, and ethical conduct. According to him, lasting peace can only be achieved through collective harmony and adherence to moral principles.

Bhagwat noted that humanity has experimented with various ideologies for over 2,000 years in attempts to resolve conflicts, yet sustainable solutions remain elusive.

Concerns Over Global Divisions

He also highlighted issues such as religious intolerance, forced conversions, and notions of superiority and inferiority as continuing causes of global unrest. Stressing the importance of mutual respect among nations and communities, Bhagwat said that resolving such deep-rooted challenges is essential for long-term global stability.

His remarks come at a time when geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly involving Iran, have intensified debates worldwide about diplomacy, peace-building, and international cooperation.
