Amritsar: A modern technology-based sound system was officially inaugurated at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib following an Ardas ceremony. The system was launched by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami to enhance facilities for visiting devotees.
The service for installing the advanced sound system was sponsored by Sikh devotee families based in England. Speaking on the occasion, SGPC President Advocate Dhami said that various improvement projects are regularly undertaken within the Sri Darbar Sahib complex to ensure better facilities for the Sangat. The decision to install a modern sound system was earlier approved by the SGPC executive committee.
The seva was carried out with contributions from UK-based families including Gursevaks Singh Shergill, Gulinder Singh, Jatinder Singh Hair, Ranjit Singh Saggu, Pradeep Singh Nijjar, and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
Dhami also revealed that discussions were held with Gursevaks Singh and his associates regarding the Sikh Mission established by SGPC in England. Representatives from SGPC will also be deputed to England to strengthen religious outreach activities.
Speaking at the event, Gursevaks Singh Shergill expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform seva with the support of multiple families and prayed for continued blessings to serve the Guru’s house.
