Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand met Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday at Seva Teerth, New Delhi. The meeting was also attended by Manipur Deputy Chief Ministers Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho.
This marks the first meeting between CM Khemchand and the Prime Minister since he assumed office on February 4, 2026.
During the discussion, CM Khemchand briefed PM Modi on the initiatives undertaken by his government to promote peace and harmony in Manipur. The Chief Minister also extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit the state.
The meeting underscores the Centre’s engagement with newly elected state leadership to address regional development and stability.
