Mandi: The District Administration Mandi organized a Civil Services Premier Workshop for IAS and HPAS aspirants under the “Bhavishya Setu” initiative at the DRDA Hall on Thursday, aimed at guiding youth preparing for competitive examinations.

The workshop was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan, who encouraged aspirants to view civil services as a powerful platform for serving the nation and society.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said that success in civil service examinations requires proper direction, consistent effort, and a positive mindset. He urged candidates to remain disciplined, patient, and dedicated toward their goals while preparing for the examinations.

He emphasized the importance of setting clear objectives and developing a structured preparation strategy. Regular study, mock tests, and answer-writing practice were highlighted as key components of success. Aspirants were also advised to utilize time effectively and maintain a strong understanding of current affairs.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that the Bhavishya Setu program launched by the district administration is an important initiative aimed at providing career guidance to youth. Under this program, students preparing for competitive examinations receive expert mentorship and academic support.

He further informed that similar workshops will be organized in schools, colleges, and ITIs across Mandi district to ensure that a larger number of young aspirants benefit from the initiative.

During the workshop, probationary officers Dr. Jitendra Chandel and Dr. Manu Verma provided detailed insights into the civil services examination syllabus, exam pattern, answer-writing techniques, time management, and selection of optional subjects.

They stressed the importance of consistent study habits, staying updated with current events, and continuous answer-writing practice to improve performance.

A doubt-clearing session and interactive question-and-answer round were also conducted, where aspirants asked queries related to civil services preparation. Experts and officials shared their experiences and offered practical guidance.

District Employment Officer Arvind Singh Chauhan along with several civil services aspirants attended the workshop.
