Mandi: A car carrying tourists from Punjab met with an accident in Mandi district on Thursday morning, leaving five youths injured, one of them critically.
According to reports, six young men were traveling by car to visit Prashar Lake when they lost their way and reached the Katola area. Near Batheri on the Arang road, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident.
With the prompt response of local residents and the 108 ambulance service, all injured were rushed to the zonal hospital in Mandi. One of the victims sustained a serious head injury and is reported to be in critical condition, while the other four are currently stable.
Police have identified the injured as 21-year-old Aryan, 22-year-old Priyansh, 22-year-old Vishal, and 21-year-old Suraj Kumar.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar confirmed that a detailed investigation into the incident is underway.
