Gangster Randeep Malik, claiming ties to the Lawrence gang, posted on social media that the assault on Bhatti occurred in Portugal. He stated it was carried out on orders from himself and Anil Pandit (USA), vowing to silence anyone opposing India or Lawrence Bishnoi—no matter where they hide.

The message named Lawrence Bishnoi group alongside Jatinder Gogi Man, Hashim Baba, Kala Rana, and Sahil Duhan (Hisar), warning relentless pursuit. Local and international agencies have yet to verify the claim.

Once close allies—shown in a 2024 viral Eid video call where Bhatti pledged his life for Lawrence—their bond soured post-Pahalgam terror attack. Lawrence’s threat to Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed enraged Bhatti, turning him into an enemy who recently openly threatened to kill Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi.
