Kedarnath: If you are planning a pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple, there is important news for devotees. Helicopter services for the upcoming pilgrimage season will open for bookings from Saturday at 6 PM.
According to officials, all preparations have been completed to ensure a smooth and convenient journey for pilgrims. In the first phase, helicopter tickets will be available for travel between April 22 and June 23. Tickets can only be booked through the official website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to ensure transparency and prevent fraudulent bookings.
Ahead of the annual Char Dham Yatra, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held discussions with the head priest (Rawal) of Kedarnath, Shri Bhimashankar Ling, to review arrangements and development works at the shrine.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is continuously improving infrastructure, security, crowd management, medical services, and emergency preparedness to ensure a safe and comfortable pilgrimage. He also highlighted that lessons learned from previous yatra seasons have been incorporated into this year’s planning.
Special focus is being given to crowd management, better connectivity, medical facilities, sanitation, and emergency response systems to handle the increasing number of devotees visiting Kedarnath each year.
Officials have emphasized that coordination between departments is being strengthened to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims. The government reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe, organized, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for all visitors.
