JP Nadda to Launch Tetanus and Diphtheria Vaccine at CRI Kasauli

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda will launch the Tetanus and Diphtheria (Td) vaccine today at the Central Research Institute, Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh.

The introduction of the Td vaccine marks a significant step in strengthening India’s public health infrastructure and enhancing the effectiveness of the national immunization programme. The vaccine is aimed at providing protection against serious and potentially life-threatening diseases such as tetanus and diphtheria.

Health officials said the rollout of the Td vaccine will further bolster routine immunization efforts across the country and contribute to improved disease prevention outcomes. The initiative is expected to give fresh momentum to India’s ongoing vaccination drive and reinforce the government’s commitment to safeguarding public health.

The Central Research Institute in Kasauli has historically played a key role in vaccine research and production, and the launch of the Td vaccine from this institute underscores its continued contribution to the nation’s healthcare system.
