The Indian Army and Indian Railways have launched a new Framework of Cooperation aimed at strengthening post-retirement employment opportunities for Agniveers and Army personnel.
In a social media post, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information stated that the initiative is designed to facilitate a smoother transition for retiring soldiers into civilian careers. The framework will enhance awareness about job opportunities within Indian Railways and establish a responsive support mechanism for veterans.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment between the Army and Railways to empower veterans with meaningful second careers. Officials highlighted that the initiative will not only benefit former servicemen but also contribute to national development by leveraging their skills and discipline in public sector roles.
The move is expected to provide structured employment pathways for Agniveers completing their tenure under the Agnipath scheme, ensuring continued career growth and stability after military service.
