Himachal CM Sukhu Thanked for Announcing Paramilitary Welfare Board in Budget 2026-27

HP Budget 2026 Paramilitary Welfare Board Announced

The Himachal Pradesh State Ex-Paramilitary Coordination and Welfare Association has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the historic announcement of forming a Paramilitary Welfare Board in the state Budget 2026-27.

A delegation of the association met the Chief Minister and honored him for the decision, stating that the long-pending demand of the paramilitary community has finally been fulfilled. The representatives said the formation of the welfare board will directly benefit paramilitary personnel, Veer Naris (war widows), and their families across the state.

The association described the initiative as a reflection of the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership and his sensitivity toward the welfare of the paramilitary community. Members expressed confidence that the decision has brought renewed hope and assurance among paramilitary families in Himachal Pradesh.

The delegation also extended special thanks to Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania for effectively raising the issue and playing a key role in ensuring the demand was addressed. Appreciation was also conveyed to other legislators for their support in facilitating the announcement.

Responding to the delegation, Chief Minister Sukhu reiterated that the state government remains committed to the welfare and rehabilitation of ex-servicemen and paramilitary personnel, emphasizing continued efforts toward their social and economic well-being.

The association termed the establishment of the Paramilitary Welfare Board a milestone step toward strengthening welfare measures for the paramilitary community in the state.
