After a detailed Haryana Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini held a press conference to announce several significant decisions aimed at strengthening governance, public services, and financial discipline in the state.
The Cabinet deliberated on 31 agenda items, out of which 18 were approved. Key reforms include amendments to the Haryana Superior Judicial Service rules to enhance transparency and efficiency in the judiciary. Several service regulations have been relaxed to improve healthcare delivery, particularly in pharmacy officer appointments.
Previously, strict six-month training requirements had left many posts vacant. The Cabinet has now relaxed these rules, enabling direct recruitment of pharmacy officers up to 95% of sanctioned positions. These changes are expected to improve access to healthcare services and reduce administrative delays.
The Cabinet also approved amendments in Haryana financial rules, introducing new mechanisms to strengthen fiscal discipline and governance. Additionally, reforms in the Food and Drug Administration Service rules received approval to ensure better regulatory compliance and public safety.
Infrastructure projects also received attention, with the Orbital Rail Corridor project’s revised cost estimates sanctioned to expedite development and improve state connectivity.
Chief Minister Saini emphasized that these decisions are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote efficient governance, streamline administrative processes, and ensure better service delivery for the citizens of Haryana.
