Amritsar: Devotees across India and abroad celebrated the Prakash Purab (birth anniversary) of Guru Arjan Dev Ji with deep devotion and श्रद्धा. A special religious gathering was also organized at the Bibi Kaulan Ji Welfare Trust, where spiritual congregations (diwans) were held to mark the occasion.
The event began with the recitation of Sri Japji Sahib and Chaupai Sahib, performed collectively by the congregation. Renowned religious figures, including Bhai Gurkirpal Singh from Scotland, women’s jatha from Civil Lines, Bhai Harvinderpal Singh, and Bhai Gurikbal Singh Ji, enriched the gathering with katha and kirtan.
During the discourse, speakers highlighted the life and teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, emphasizing his unparalleled contribution to humanity. They shared how the Guru personally served the suffering and taught the values of selfless service, humility, and compassion.
The speakers urged devotees to follow the path shown by Guru Sahib by giving up hatred and embracing seva (selfless service) and unity in society.
On this occasion, devotees who had come from abroad were specially honored by the organizers. The stage management and ardas were conducted by Bhai Jaswinder Singh from Civil Lines.
The event concluded with the distribution of Guru Ka Langar, which was served continuously to all attendees, reflecting the spirit of equality and community service.
