Grand Shaheedi March in Amritsar Honors Sahibzadas’ Martyrdom Amidst Jai Kars

Amritsar – Amidst resounding jai kars, a poignant 9th Shaheedi March dedicated to the martyrdom of Dasmesh Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four Sahibzadas was organized by Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji Niwas Amritsar, with support from Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Manager Sri Darbar Sahib, and Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal. Around 1,000 school children participated, dressed as Panj Pyare, paying tribute to the Sahibzadas’ supreme sacrifices.

The march began with an ardas by Gursewak Singh and Additional Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Malkit Singh Ji, starting from Bhandari Bridge, passing through Hall Gate, Hall Bazaar, Town Hall, and Virasati Marg, concluding at Guru Burj Akali Phula Singh Ji. Various religious representatives welcomed the march, offering tributes and promoting communal harmony.

Institution secretary Harmeet Singh Saluja stated this annual event during Shaheedi week educates the youth about the Sahibzadas’ sacrifices, inspiring future generations to embrace Gur Sikhi swaroop over base instincts. Sri Darbar Sahib Manager Sardar Bhagwant Singh Dhangerah praised the initiative, urging all to become true heirs by adopting Gur Sikhi form. At the conclusion, children received literature on the Sahibzadas and Gurmat vichaar sessions.

Dignitaries present included Manager Sri Darbar Sahib Sardar Bhagwant Singh Dhangerah, Niwas Manager Gurpreeet Singh, Meet Manager Aje Singh, Satnam Singh Saluja, Bibi Paramjit Kaur Pinky, Information Officer Radhir Singh Jathedar Sukhwant Singh Bittu, Ustad Hari Singh, Ustad Kamalpreet Singh, Rupinder Singh King, Advocate Amitpal Singh Khalsa, Bibi Harpreet Kaur Ji Baba Bota Singh Ji Jatha, and other sangats.
