The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, will preside over the closing ceremony of the renowned International Shivratri Mahotsav 2026 in Mandi district.
Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan informed that the Governor will arrive in Mandi on the evening of February 21 and attend the sixth and final cultural night of the Shivratri festival as the Chief Guest. He will stay overnight at the Circuit House in Mandi.
On February 22, 2026, the Governor will offer prayers at the temple of district deity Madhoray Temple. He will also participate in the third and final ‘Jaleb’ procession of the festival, which is traditionally led by Raj Madhoray.
Following this, Governor Shukla will chair the grand closing ceremony of the International Shivratri Mahotsav at the historic Paddal Mela Ground. After the event, he is scheduled to depart for Shimla in the evening.
The International Shivratri Mahotsav of Mandi is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most celebrated cultural and religious festivals, attracting devotees and tourists from across India and abroad.
