Fugitive Khalistan Commando Force Militant Arrested After 33 Years

KCF Militant Arrested After 33 Years on the Run

In a major breakthrough, a fugitive militant associated with the Khalistan Commando Force has been arrested after evading law enforcement for over three decades. The accused, Sukhwinder Singh, also known by multiple aliases including Dayal Singh, Rakesh Sharma, and Chhinda, was apprehended in a joint operation conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Noida Police.

Sukhwinder Singh had been on the run since 1993, when he was granted bail after being arrested by Noida Police. At the time, he was found in possession of an AK-56 rifle and 121 cartridges. A case was registered against him at Sector 20 Police Station in Noida, and he was later sent to jail on April 18, 1993. However, after being released on bail on December 9, 1993, he absconded and remained a wanted fugitive for 33 years.

Authorities had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him, and multiple efforts were made over the years to trace his whereabouts. Acting on intelligence inputs and information from informants, the ATS recently tracked him down to SAS Nagar in Punjab. A coordinated operation between ATS and Noida Police led to his arrest.

Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to uncover any possible links or activities during his years in hiding. The arrest marks a significant achievement for security agencies in their ongoing efforts to curb terrorism and bring long-absconding criminals to justice.
